Unique test system for full vehicle reduced level testing. The waveform 1 current impulse injected directly to the aircraft structure enables measurement of disturbance at interfaces without causing damage.

Full aircraft testing is used for non-destructive tests on avionic interfaces in a complete aircraft structure. MIG3618SS generates an impulse conforming to waveform 1 from DO-160 and SAE ARP 5412. The impulse circuit can be adjusted to match either aluminium or composite aircraft structures. Maximum test level is 5 kA with 26 kJoules energy content. The system comprises an impulse generator housed in a 18 unit rack and a separate control unit. All high voltage circuits are solid state semiconductor based which ensures a long life and extremely repeatable impulse waveshapes.
